Persona Engine is BearingPoint's AI-driven platform that allows businesses to create interactive, data-driven customer personas. It provides insights into customer needs, preferences, and behaviors, helping companies tailor their strategies to increase engagement, conversion, and loyalty.
Persona Engine uses AI algorithms to analyze customer data, creating dynamic personas that reflect real-world customer segments. Businesses can interact with these personas in a chat interface, enabling qualitative insights and a better understanding of their customer base.
Persona Engine is ideal for businesses across industries that aim to improve their customer engagement, marketing precision, product development, and overall customer experience. Campaign planning, A/B testing, precision marketing and strategic positioning and market decisions. Furthermore, product and service development initiatives can be started using predictive or (third-party) market data.
The focus can be on both understanding the current customer base and identifying new target groups. Depending on the available data (sources) and your identified filtering, different clusters can be created. Multiple campaigns can be built from the same data set, focusing on various variables.
The Persona Engine can be used by key users in the different departments: from marketing, sales, customer service, to innovation and HR. This depends on the dataset that is used!
The Persona Engine can provide a variety of insights, based on the customer or market data available. You can gain insights in patterns across customer demographics, behavioral data and market trends, enriched with the identification of distinct customer groups and characteristics.
With the Persona Engine, you can interact with customer groups through chat. The AI -generated persona provide a qualitative understanding of the customer data used in segmentation, enriched with market information.
Instead of hosting traditional customer panels representing part of the customer base, you can now interact with your digital customer groups, created based on your own customer data. Therewith, AI is used to automate customer panels, the accuracy increases as large datasets are leveraged, customer panels are more efficient and scalable and lastly, more cost-efficient as manual data collection will be decreased.
You can use the personas for multiple purposes and across many departments in your organization. First of all, it enhances a common customer understanding and increases customer-centric thinking. Furthermore, it can be utilized in the marketing domain to create targeted marketing strategies and create content that resonates with the persona’s preferences. Also, the personas can be used within product development to tailor products and services or within the customer service domain. Lastly, the Persona Engine can also be used to enhance employee experience or benefit change management.
Depending on your license, there is no limit to the number of personas that can be created.
The Persona Engine can be implemented in just a few days! With our workshop-based approach, you can have a Proof of Concept running within 3 weeks. Together, we will define the most relevant use cases. Afterwards, we prepare the data set. In the last step, we will train and onboard you to use the tool. Additionally, we can schedule time to further deep-dive how data can be prepared for reuse in the tool.
The most important thing is access to customer or market data, however, only a couple of data points are sufficient to gather insights. Alternatively, we can support you with gaining insights through ‘The Voice of the Customer’ to kickstart your use of the Persona Engine.
Demographic data, psychographic data, geographic data or behavioral data (e.g. buying or browsing behavior coming from web analytics) and other relevant structured qualitative data can be used. 3rd party data can be integrated with 1st party data to derive new insights.
The timing and required resources for a successful pilot may vary depending on the quantity and quality of the data set(s). This can be anywhere from quick review (few days) to a data preparation task taking up week(s). Running the algorithm and building personas with a prepared dataset takes minutes.
The support with implementing the Persona Engine can be combined with broader data management and quality, as well as CX and Commercial Excellence support.
Pricing varies on the number of users, number of persona groups created and the number of data sets. Multiple packages are available between €5.000 and €20.000 per year for licensing fees. Additionally, BearingPoint services to prepare data sets can be added.
There is no free trial available, however, we can host a free demo for you. Afterwards, there is an entry fee of €10.000 to prepare the first use case.
Users of the Persona Engine have full control over their own data. Data is uploaded to the application and stored at your organization’s account in the application. The calculations are performed with an algorithm on the same server where data is stored. All data is located on a Microsoft Azure server located in West Europe, fully GDPR compliant.
Data cannot be access by any other parties and users have full control over their own data. The consumer data important in the tool is aggregated on an individual level and can be anonymized.
The data handling and clustering are GDPR compliant if taken up in your governance. This part can be done locally or in our encrypted and sealed cloud solution – which is GDPR compliant. For the building of personas, we are reliant on third-party generative AI tools. All measures have been taken to ensure that the clustering data is not traceable and made generic to represent the segment. This data however needs to be shared with the generative AI tools to build the personas.
The Persona Engine does not go beyond what is currently done with the data, it merely applies it effectively to generate personas. Data is not sold, bartered or leveraged in any way, and is merely used to create behavioral representations based on voluntarily and GDPR-protected data. If a client would wish to retract their information from the dataset, we can easily run a new clustering with this data removed, even though from the segmentation it would not be able to trace this back to the person.
During a Proof of Concept, the BearingPoint team will be executing the first use case of the Persona Engine.
Onboarding is done during the Proof of Concept. On request, additional training can be supported to optimize the preparation of data sets for use in the Persona Engine.
